Rycote launch new Lightwave Boom Pole

1.6-metre A-3 Pole Is The Baby Of The Lightwave Range

Stroud, UK, Autumn 2010: Rycote have introduced a new entry-level aluminium Lightwave boom pole. Just 64cm at its shortest length and extending to a maximum of 1.63 metres, the triple-segment A-3 is the baby of the Lightwave pole range, weighing just 371 grammes, and is perfect for applications such as location recording with small news-gathering teams. Unlike the larger and more expensive A5, it is not possible to run a cable inside the A3, but the new entry-level pole does feature the same patented quick release mechanism and reliable triple-cam locking system as its larger brother, and retails in the UK for under £80 including VAT.
