Softie™ Lyre Mount

The Softie™ Lyre Mount uses the patented "Lyre" technology first introduced in 2007 with the S-series and provides excellent vibration isolation against handling & camera motor noise. The Lyres are made from a specialist material, Hytrel, which allows the suspension to operate effectively in temperatures from minus 35C (-31F) to over 100C (212F).

The clip is designed to hold shotgun microphones from 19 mm to 25 mm in diameter, including the slab sided Sennheiser MKH range. A "Soft feel" grip is moulded into the clip, to prevent the microphone twisting or slipping.

The Softie™ Lyre Mount can be supplied either with a lightweight pistol grip handle or CCA (camcorder clamp adaptor). The pistol grip can be used in the hand or on a boom pole using it's brass 3/8" UNC female thread. The CCA also has a 3/8" UNC female thread, for pole use and the head is 27 mm diameter, which allows it to fit into most Sony & Canon camcorder microphone clamps.

Each Softie™ lyre mount & handle also comes supplied with a high quality microphone cable.
