IOCO invite AMPS and IBS members to an evening at Theatre 7, Pinewood, in order to show the new Schoeps Super CMIT gun mic and other new products.
The SuperCMIT is a real breakthrough in microphone technology, using a second pick up and a digital algorithm to reduce background noise quite significantly.
Helmut Wittek will be over from Schoeps, along with Chris Woolf, who has been working on the Super CMIT project.
Helmut says,
"The SuperCMIT has created a lot of interest from many sound engineers. As it is not a conventional shotgun microphone, there have been many many questions regarding the new possibilities it offers and the change in workflow it necessitates. During the course of the evening, we will explain the background to the microphone and the new technology it incorporates. Furthermore, there will be a live demonstration, hands-on tests, reports and samples from practice, comments on (in-)compatible equipment, hints on the workflow and practical advice for its application."
