InVision Suspensions

The InVision ‘lyre’ suspension range is the ideal answer to isolating small, high quality microphones where a discrete low profile is essential. They can be used for a wide range of ‘compact’ microphone series, ‘remote capsule’ systems and some short to medium bodied small-diaphragm microphones. The InVision range retains all the flexibility, balance and professional performance that you can expect from a Rycote microphone suspension.

The InVision Suspension Series is designed for studio and installed sound use and does not have the ability to be used in conjunction within a windshield. However, the "Standard" lyre suspension webs will be introduced to the Modular suspensions & Windshield kits during 2008.

coming soon Every InVision suspension includes an adaptor for using the InVision on a stand with a 5/8" thread. Therefore, the InVision will be able to screw onto any 3/8" Whitworth (BSW) thread. Plus, with the adaptor fitted, it will also fit onto a 5/8" 27 tpi male thread too.

The adaptors will be included in all production parts from June 2008 onwards.

"InVision" Lyre Web

INV-1, INV-2 & INV-3 are designed specifically for static use on desk & floor stands, when a discrete profile is essential. The lyre suspension webs of these InVision have a small profile designed to isolate in fixed situations for ‘compact’ microphone series and ‘remote capsule’ systems

Specification: The InVision lyre webs are just 43mm wide by 40mm high, fit on a standard bar and can be angled by the self adjusting screw. Available with either 9.5mm clip (INV-1), 1 x 9.5mm and 1 x 20mm clip (INV-2) or 20mm clip (INV-3).

The INV-1 also includes a reducing sleeve that fixes onto remote capsule microphones such as the Schoeps CCM and DPA 4000 series. The clips on the INV-1 and INV-2 hold the microphone by the connector so that a foam gag can be used if required. See table below for sizing.

BOOMPOLE & STATIC

"Standard" Lyre Web

(used on the INV-6 & INV-7)

INV-4, INV-5 & INV-6 are all designed for either boompole or static use on a desk/floor microphone stand. Like the InVision INV-1, INV-2 and INV-3 they have the standard bar and can be used with smaller remote capsule microphones.

Specification: The standard lyre webs are 70mm wide to provide improved isolation when used on a boom, fit on a standard bar and can be adjusted and tightened by the star knob. Available with either 9.5mm clip including a reducing sleeve (INV-4), 1 x 9.5mm and 1 x 19/22mm clip (INV-5) or 19/25mm universal clip (INV-6).

INV-7 & INV-8 have both been designed for either boompole or static use. They have a long bar that allows the lyre webs to be mounted 70mm (as supplied) or 25mm apart.

Specification: The standard lyre webs are 70mm wide to provide improved isolation when used on a boom, fit on a long bar and can be adjusted and tightened by the star knob. Available with either 19mm-25mm universal clips (INV-7) or 30mm clips (INV-8) and are suitable for short to medium length small diaphragm microphones. All InVision suspensions can be mounted onto any desk or floor stand with a 3/8” thread.
